Freme Travel Services participated in the Job Fair Career Talk at Dewan Belalong, Temburong, to share insights into the travel and tourism industry with local jobseekers.

As a Travelife Sustainability Partner, Freme recognises that sustainable tourism extends beyond environmental responsibility. It also involves supporting local communities, nurturing local talent, and creating opportunities for Bruneians to develop their skills and build meaningful careers within the tourism industry.

Through this initiative, Freme hopes to raise awareness of the diverse career pathways available in travel and tourism, while encouraging more young Bruneians to explore opportunities in the industry and contribute to the future development of Brunei’s tourism sector.

Freme Travel Services was pleased to take part in the 21st Edition of the annual Sabre Brunei Travel Fair, hosted by Sabre Travel Network (Brunei) Sdn Bhd, held from 12 to 13 September 2026 at Hall 1 of the BRIDEX International Conference Centre in Jerudong, Brunei.

The travel fair was officially opened by Yang Mulia Awang Salminan bin Haji Burut, Permanent Secretary (Community Welfare) at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, marking the start of a weekend filled with travel opportunities, promotions and activities for visitors.

Throughout the event, Freme Travel Services showcased a range of travel promotions, special offers and gifts, giving visitors the opportunity to explore various travel options and plan their next holiday. For customers who could not make it to BRIDEX in person, Freme’s online booking services also provided a convenient way to explore and book their travel arrangements online.

The event provided a great opportunity for the Freme team to connect with visitors, introduce our travel products and services, and share exciting destinations and holiday experiences with the local community. From airfare and holiday packages to group tours and other travel offerings, visitors were able to discover a variety of options to suit their travel plans.

Freme Travel Marks 55th Anniversary with “A Flight to Remember”

Freme Travel Services Sdn Bhd is celebrating its 55th anniversary this year, marking more than five decades of service in Brunei Darussalam’s travel and tourism industry.

To commemorate this milestone, Freme Travel organised “A Flight to Remember”, a special Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at providing children with a meaningful and memorable experience.

The programme brought together over 100 children aged between seven and 15 years old. The participating children comprised registered orphans under the Department of Community Development (JAPEM) and children from the General Welfare Assistance Division.

For many of the children, this was their first-ever experience travelling on board an aircraft. The children took part in a specially arranged one-hour flight departing from Brunei International Airport. The flight was operated with the support of Royal Brunei Airlines.

Freme Travel appreciates the support and cooperation of all the agencies and partners involved in making the programme possible.

The programme was organised with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), Department of Community Development (JAPEM), Royal Brunei Airlines and Royal Brunei Catering (RBC).

The programme began with a welcoming ceremony at Brunei International Airport.

The ceremony was attended by Yang Mulia Dayang Fauziah Binti Haji Mohd Salleh, Acting Director of the Community Development Department (JAPEM), and Pg Dato Paduka Osman Bin Pg Hj Patra, Executive Director of Freme Travel Services Sdn Bhd.

Following the welcoming ceremony and remarks, the children experienced the various stages of air travel, including airport check-in, departure formalities, boarding the aircraft, take-off and flying over Brunei Darussalam’s airspace.

Snacks were provided for the children before departure and the children received lunch meal upon arrival

Beyond the flight itself, the programme was designed to give the children an experience that they could cherish and remember for years to come.

The initiative reflects Freme Travel’s commitment to giving back to the local community as part of its 55th anniversary celebrations.

Rather than simply celebrating the company’s milestone, Freme Travel wanted to share the celebration with children in the community. “A Flight to Remember” was created to provide these children with an opportunity to experience something new, exciting and meaningful.

The programme also reflects Freme Travel’s belief that travel is about creating memories, connecting people and opening doors to new experiences.

Freme Travel was established in 1971 and has been part of Brunei Darussalam’s travel and tourism industry for 55 years.

Over the decades, the company has continued to provide a wide range of travel services, holiday packages, tourism services and travel-related experiences.

Freme Travel has also continued to contribute to the development of Brunei’s travel and tourism industry.

As Freme Travel celebrates 55 years, the company remains committed to connecting people through travel and creating memorable experiences.

The company will continue to support initiatives that contribute positively to the local community and the wider tourism industry.

Temburong Welcomes His Majesty During the 80th Birthday Royal Get-Together

Temburong was honoured to welcome His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah and members of the Royal Family during the Majlis Ramah Mesra Bersama Rakyat dan Penduduk, held in conjunction with His Majesty’s 80th Birthday Celebrations.

Freme Rainforest Lodge and Freme Travel Services were privileged to be part of this meaningful occasion, showcasing Brunei’s eco-adventure tourism, local hospitality, and the natural beauty of Temburong.

A Warm Welcome to the Prime Minister of Timor-Leste

5th May 2026, We recently had the honour of hosting the Prime Minister of Timor-Leste, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, during his visit to the iconic Kampong Ayer, where he experienced the rich culture and heritage of Brunei Darussalam.

The visit included a stop at the Kampong Ayer Cultural & Tourism Gallery, followed by a traditional Kampong Ayer house visit, where he and his delegation enjoyed local refreshments and experienced the unique lifestyle and hospitality of the water village community.

Pianoland Cruise Guests Explore Brunei

We recently hosted guests from the Pianoland Cruise on a Brunei shore excursion, offering them a glimpse into the country’s rich culture and heritage.
The programme included photo stops at iconic landmarks such as Istana Nurul Iman and Jame’ Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, followed by visits to Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah and the Royal Regalia Museum. Guests also enjoyed local dining experiences at Wafa Hotel and Pattaya Restaurant, along with a shopping stop at Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex during their visit.

Welcomed Guests from the Crystal Symphony Cruise on a Brunei shore excursion

6 March 2026 — We welcomed guests from the Crystal Symphony Cruise on a Brunei shore excursion, offering them a glimpse of the country’s unique culture, heritage and natural beauty. The programme included visits to the mangroves and the iconic Water Village of Kampong Ayer, followed by a local cultural experience in Temburong with a visit to a traditional longhouse. Guests also enjoyed photo stops at some of Brunei’s most recognisable landmarks, including Istana Nurul Iman, Jame’ Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, and Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, capturing memorable moments during their time in the Sultanate.

Hainan Tour Presentation Successfully Held

Last week, we hosted a Hainan Tour Presentation to introduce our upcoming travel programmes to Hainan.

The session featured a guest speaker from Hainan, who shared valuable insights into the destination, key attractions, and travel highlights. His presentation provided guests with a deeper understanding of what to expect when travelling to Hainan, including the convenience of direct flight operations operated by 9 Air.

Participants were also introduced to our fixed tour itineraries, direct flight arrangements with 9 Air, and the overall travel experience. The interactive session allowed guests to gain a clearer picture of the destination, reflecting the strong interest in Hainan as a holiday choice.

During the event, attendees were offered special promotional rates on selected departure dates. An upcoming Hainan Tour Presentation will be held in Kuala Belait on 3 February, and interested members of the public are welcome to contact our offices for more information.
