Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Standing Together in Pink

Posted on by Irsyad

In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Freme staff proudly wore pink ribbon pins throughout October to show solidarity with those affected by breast cancer. This small but meaningful gesture symbolises our collective commitment to raising awareness, encouraging regular health screenings, and fostering conversations about early detection and prevention.

At Freme, we believe that every effort, no matter how big small, can create a ripple of positive change. By standing together in pink, we not only honour the strength and courage of survivors but also remind our community of the importance of compassion, education, and support in the ongoing fight against breast cancer. Together, we can make a difference.

Freme Travel Lodge Showcases Brunei’s Eco-Adventure Tourism to His Majesty

Posted on by Khairul IT

Temburong had the distinction of being the first district to host the Majlis Ramah Mesra Bersama Rakyat dan Penduduk — a Royal Get-Together with the People and Residents — in conjunction with His Majesty’s 79th Birthday celebrations. This year’s gathering carried the theme “Raja Berwawasan Inspirasi Kesejahteraan dan Kemakmuran Negara” — inspiring our Nation’s well-being and prosperity — and brought together communities, businesses, and agencies across Temburong in a spirit of unity and gratitude.

For us at Freme Travel Services and Freme Rainforest Lodge (FRL) in Batang Duri, the occasion was a moment of immense pride. We were deeply privileged to welcome His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam, along with members of the Royal Family, to view our contributions to Brunei’s economic landscape.

During the visit, our team showcased how Freme Rainforest Lodge has grown from its early beginnings to become a pioneer in eco-adventure tourism in Brunei. We highlighted how our programmes — from rainforest exploration, canopy walks, river adventures, and cultural trails — are not only attracting both local and international visitors, but also providing meaningful employment opportunities for the people of Temburong. These efforts, we believe, strengthen the local economy and celebrate Brunei’s unique natural heritage through experiences that cannot be found elsewhere in the country.

His Majesty was also presented with our future plans for the Lodge, as we look towards expansion and innovation by 2025 and beyond. These plans include developing new eco-adventure facilities, enhancing sustainability practices, and continuing to create experiences that support Brunei Darussalam’s vision of a diversified economy under Wawasan Brunei 2035.

The Majlis Ramah Mesra provided an invaluable platform for us to reaffirm our commitment to Brunei’s tourism industry and to align with national aspirations for progress, prosperity, and well-being. It was also a reminder of the close bond between His Majesty and the people, as the event allowed communities in Temburong to express their loyalty and gratitude directly to the monarch.

On this auspicious occasion, we at Freme Travel Lodge and Freme Travel Services extend our deepest thanks to His Majesty for granting us the honour of his presence, and for his unwavering leadership that continues to inspire growthW and resilience across all sectors. We join the nation in offering heartfelt prayers for His Majesty’s continued good health, long life, and enduring prosperity for Negara Brunei Darussalam.
