This is an exclusive tour where you will experience and enjoy cooking local delights like Temburong Wajid, Bamboo Chicken and Kerabu Pakis at the Freme Rainforest Lodge. At the same time, you have the chance to go on an adventure ride in the old-fashioned Temuai (Iban longboat) to collect wild ferns (Paku Pakis) upriver of Sg Temburong.
On return to the Lodge, our friendly staff will assist you to prepare the Kerabu Pakis (fresh Fern leaf salad) for lunch, together with varieties of local food such as the iconic Bamboo Chicken. You will also get the opportunity to learn how to cook, pack and taste the famous Wajid Temburong from our local host. And before leaving, you will be guided to explore our adventure park for some photo taking.

You will be outdoors for the duration of this tour may be affected by heat, cold, rain and sun. The water level could be high or low depending upon the recent rainfalls and tides. The program may need to be adjusted to meet the conditions. Our staff will advise you of the current conditions and whether these might cause any alterations to your schedule.
Places of interest may be closed due to local holidays. All business premises will be closed on Fridays between 12 PM to 2 PM.

To make your trip to the rainforest more comfortable, you may want to bring along the following items:

Sunblock/Insect repellent (Unscented is preferred)
Cell phone/Camera for capturing unforgettable moments.
Hat/Cap with a chin strap for added convenience.
Poncho to stay dry in case of rain (Umbrellas aren’t practical in the rainforest)
Extra clothes for refreshing up before returning to the city.
Ziplock bag to keep your valuables safe from water.
A reusable water bottle (can be refilled at the lodge)

Late Arrivals

Guests arriving late for a coach pickup or a boating tour may miss the scheduled departure and shall not be entitled to a refund, as it is the sole responsibility of the guest to check in at the specified time to ensure their participation in the tour; in the event that a guest arrives late and subsequently misses the coach/boat, Freme Travel Services shall not be held liable for any costs incurred for alternative transportation options, including but not limited to taxi fares, rideshare services, or any other means of transport to reach the tour location. Guests are strongly encouraged to contact the tour operator immediately if they anticipate arriving late, as this will allow the tour operator to provide guidance and assistance as needed, although it does not guarantee accommodation on the tour.
