Tales from Temburong: Freme’s Lodge & Adventure Park

Here at Freme we are extremely proud of our lodge and Adventure Park. Situated on the banks of the Temburong River the lodge is a great place to experience the natural wonderland that is the Borneo rainforest. Built on the stroke of the millennium the lodge took 6 months to complete.  Able to accommodate a wide selection of guests and activities the lodge is best place to experience all the adventure park and landscape has to offer.

From our newly built suspension bridge you can soak in the beauty that surrounds you. Views from either downstream towards Bangar or upstream into Ulu National Park are simply spectacular. All of the lodges exciting highlights blend seamlessly into nature.  For an even better look we have a specially designed observation tower high up in the canopy.

Our adventure park is full of exciting activities. We love to test out our skills on our one of a kind obstacle course. The course consists of a selection of ropes, logs and climbing frames. Across the bridge is where we push things to the next level.

The Flying Fox zipline stretches from the nature tails in the jungle over the river to the steps of the rainforest lodge. What a better way to explore the jungle than flying over the river on our specially designed zipwire.

We have a real passion for adventure and exploring this beautiful landscape. We pride ourselves on creating memorable experiences every time. Don’t just take our word for it check out what our visitors have to say.

Teacher’s Day Promo Trip

Teachers do so much for us and expect nothing in return. So to show our appreciation we had the pleasure of taking a large group of teachers on a fun filled day away. Over the last couple of weekends in September teachers from ISB, Sekolah Menengah Saidina Osman and Sekolah Menengah Sayyidina Ali arrived at the Bandar waterfront eager to enjoy a well-earned day off.

Upon arrival into Temburong, the crowd of smiling faces were met by our friendly guides and driven into the heart of the rainforest for a day of action packed adventure. We enjoyed every moment with these fabulous teachers and thank you for all the hard work that you do!

Tales from Temburong: A picture says a thousand words (part 2)

It is hard to top the mesmerizing views from the top of the tower. However, taking a ride on the Flying Fox comes close. A short trek thru the jungle from the observation tower is the Flying Fox. The Flying Fox is a zipwire that zooms you from the Jungle to the Adventure Park and Lodge. After a safety briefing we are allowed to take flight. It’s hard to fathom the sheer thrill as you drop off from the platform and hurtle across the Temburong river. “Again, Again” are the shouts from some members of the group.

After several more flights, the smells from the Barbecue begin to take over our senses and before too long it was time for dinner.   A plethora of delicious dishes was presented before us, we better get stuck in. The cuisine was mouthwatering. From the sambal and soy and chilli beef to the chicken and mixed vegetables the cuisine was just what was needed after a day of adventure.

But the fun was not over yet. It was time for the night trek. The rainforest really comes alive at night. Sounds of native birds and insects fill the air. As we walked through the jungle you could hear the distant calls of the Proboscis Monkey. Completely surrounded by nature your worries just don’t exist. You feel at peace with the world.

What a way to end this adventure, an experience that will last for a lifetime.

Tales from Temburong: A picture says a thousand words (part 1)

Good Morning and Welcome to the rainforests of Brunei. We recently tagged along with a group of intrepid adventurers to see what Freme’s Temburong tours has to offer and boy were we in for a treat. First stop an early morning sunrise hike. You may have to get up early but the views of almost untold beauty are the reward.

After sampling an authentic local breakfast of Nasi Lemak, Fried Banana, Leaf Wrapped rice and spring rolls. We geared up for a day full of adventure.

Setting out from the rainforest lodge by local longboat. Our local guide navigated up river towards the rafting / kayaking point. Several members of the group set out to battle the rapids on the raft. We opted for the more challenging kayaks. The currents were strong and urging us down river as we passed the densely packed rainforest on one bank and grazing wildlife on the other. Riding through this landscape really makes you feel alive. Certainly no better way to see the surroundings. Or so we thought.

Because the action didn’t stop there. Once we had all arrived safely back at the lodge it was time for a quick dry off and lunch before taking on Freme’s own Adventure Park. Finally a chance to tackle the obstacle course. With a combination of luck and skill we all made it across. Next up the Observation Tower however, to get there we must cross the river. Lucky Freme have built an amazing suspension bridge spanning the width of the river and links directly to the tower.

There is no better place to see the kingdom of hidden treasure than from this tower. Just wow!
